Vintage Coro Faux Coral Wired Bead Brooch

An exceptional and very hard-to-find vintage Coro brooch, featuring a cluster of coral-colored lampwork art glass beads set among sweeping leaves and floral forms in rich gold-tone metal.
The design is unusually dramatic for Coro, with a long, elegant botanical silhouette and individually wired glass beads that give the brooch wonderful dimension and texture. I have not found another example currently available online, and only one older archived example appears to surface in past sales records.

Based on the style and construction, this piece is likely from the 1940s–1950s, based on style and mark.

At 3 5/8 inches long, this is a substantial and highly distinctive collector piece. It remains in excellent vintage condition, with the gold-tone finish still rich and the lampwork bead cluster beautifully preserved.

This brooch is both sizable and weighty.
