Matte Gold Modernist Geometric Shapes Brooch

Fun vintage dimensional geometric shapes brooch in matte gold tone!

This unique large pin brooch is made of three dimensional shapes placed together to form a striking cluster. Each shape has depth, making these look like blocks young children play with. The back mechanism is unique with two pins placed apart from each other, allowing the weight to be distributed evenly on your fabric.

Although unsigned, this piece is very reminiscent of jewelry by Martha Sturdy although I am unsure if it is by her.

Martha Sturdy is a Canadian artist and designer who gained attention for her "wearable sculpture" in the 70s. She's also known for her sculptural home furnishings and art in resin, steel, brass, and salvaged cedar. Clients include clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Louis Vuitton.
