A striking signed piece by celebrated American silversmith Henryk Winograd, this large oval pendant features a masterfully executed high-relief repoussé scene in .999 sterling silver depicting a mounted Renaissance/17th-century horseman — a noble cavalier or military officer on a dramatically rearing horse, rendered with exceptional sculptural detail.
The composition captures the energy and grandeur of Baroque equestrian portraiture, with the rider's flowing cape and period dress worked in extraordinary three-dimensional relief. Patination in the recesses beautifully enhances the depth and drama of the scene.
