Large Vintage Blue Rhinestone Wired Brooch Earring Set

An extraordinary vintage brooch and earring set with undeniable presence and spectacular craftsmanship! Unsigned, but made in the elaborate studio-jewelry tradition associated with Stanley Hagler, Ian St. Gielar, DeMario, Miriam Haskell, Original by Robert and Lawrence Vrba.

This is a massive, unsigned designer-quality set centered around a dramatic bow or butterfly motif. The brooch is lavishly encrusted with blue rhinestones and wired with an abundance of dangling beads, giving it wonderful movement and a rich, dimensional look. The upper section is especially striking, set with six huge blue rhinestones surrounded by layers of smaller sparkling stones and beads.

The long dangles are a mix of faceted blue beads and elongated iridescent drops, all wired by hand for a beautifully elaborate finish. The reverse shows a stamped filigree back, adding even more detail and reinforcing the quality of the piece.

🌟 Size and condition: The brooch measures an impressive 5 inches long and weighs a whopping 118 grams, making it a true statement jewel. The matching earrings measure 2 5/8 inches long and echo the same wired dangle design. The brooch dangles sit slightly asymmetrically, which appears to be part of the hand-assembled nature of the design; all the correct beadwork appears present and intact. Excellent condition.
