Breathtaking Sparkle!

This special vintage brooch is by Canada's top designer of rhinestone jewelry in the 50s and 60s, Gustave Sherman! It features a darker (almost on the grey side) blue aurora borealis rhinestones in a swirl design with a little baguette stem.

I believe it's an earlier piece due to the oval cartouche (where the signature is applied) and the construction. This is a layered piece and the top layer is not soldered on, but connected to loops on the back side. One of the loops is quite big so you could potentially string a thin chain through it and wear it as a pendant although I don't believe that it the original purpose of it.

The color is quite unique with obvious, although more subtle blue tones. It appears to have more blue in the images than in person to my eye. Please see the video for a more accurate representation. This may be the color "starlight", although I'm not certain.

The metal is rhodium plated so it will never tarnish. Can you believe a piece with this much age can look so good so many years later?

Stunning in person!
