These vintage earrings are are so pretty! They are done in 100% amazing Aurora Borealis Swarovski crystal!
Purple beauties! These hard-to-find Sherman earrings are in a color not very commonly found in Sherman jewelry. They are a combination of medium purple, light purple/blue and Aurora Borealis. The lighter purple stones appear to be faux alexandrite (crystal that changes from blue to purple) which is very sought after in Sherman jewelry. Please note that the medium/dark purple appears darker in the photos than in person.
This pair of vintage designer earrings are made with crystal rhinestones and rhodium plated metal.
Gustave Sherman was Canada's top designer of the 1950s and 60s and the company's jewelry was sold in upper-end stores such as Birks. Sherman used the best (sometimes specially commissioned) Swarovski crystals and thick rhodium or gold plating. Their jewelry is top quality, which is why you'll often see pieces that look the same as they did at the time they were made!
