Panetta Jewelry, founded in 1945 by Italian-born Benedetto Panetta, is renowned for its exquisite costume pieces that emulate the elegance of fine jewelry. After honing his craft at Trifari and Pennino Brothers, Panetta established his own brand with the vision that if a piece "didn't look real, it went back to the drawing board."

The company specialized in handcrafted designs featuring high-quality rhinestones, simulated stones, and pearls set in sterling silver or gold-plated metals. Following Benedetto's death in 1960, his sons, Amadeo and Armand, continued the family business until its closure in the late 1980s.
