This is a striking vintage Noh Okina jewelry set by Selro, a brand known for its dramatic and highly detailed figural costume jewelry from the 1950s–60s.
Design & Features:
Materials: A combination of silver-tone metal with carved red resin or thermoset plastic depicting traditional Noh masks.
Theme: The Okina mask, symbolizing wisdom, longevity, and good fortune, is central to the design.
Set Pieces:
Necklace – A slide necklace that features a large central Okina face with smaller masks dangling from it, accented with black cabochons and red rhinestones. The detailed metalwork and serpent-like chain add to its bold aesthetic.
Matching Earrings – Smaller Okina masks with similar stone and filigree details.
Historical & Collector Value:
Selro Jewelry is highly collectible, particularly its Asian-inspired pieces.
Figural Jewelry from this era is sought after for its bold, artistic craftsmanship.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
🌟 Size: The necklace is a slide necklace, so the main mask slides up and down. You might be able to find a way to lock it in place but it generally slides down to the bottom, making the overall length about 20" long. The earrings are clip-on and 1 1/4" long.
🌟 Marked: Selro Corp with a copyright sign in numerous places.
🌟 Condition: Very good some mild wear to the metal. There is some glue residue on some stones. We have only lightly cleaned this piece to preserve it.
