An authentic piece of jewelry worn by the Hmong people (Miao) in the Golden Triangle (Burma, Laos, Thailand) as an amulet, to lock the soul to the body.
Solid, higher grade silver amulet with signs of being handmade and with some light wear. A rare piece and beautiful example of Hmong art.
"Young children wear a silver neck ring with a 'soul lock' to protect them against illness. The pendant or 'soul lock' is believed to prevent the soul from leaving the body.
