An extraordinary peacock-eye design takes centre stage in this Mars and Valentine sterling silver ring! A colourful peacock feather eye motif is framed by a large, faceted, deep aqua-blue glass surround, creating a fascinating combination of colour, light and intricate metalwork.
The ornate setting features rich golden scrollwork against oxidized sterling silver, with additional blue and green faceted accent stones. Elaborate raised detailing extends across the shoulders and wide band, giving the ring a richly decorative, antique-inspired character with strong Art Nouveau influences.
Mars and Valentine is the artisan jewelry line designed by Myoshin Thurman, daughter of Margaret Thurman, founder of Echo of the Dreamer. Known for combining unusual glass, vintage elements, gemstones and detailed metalwork, the designers created jewelry that brings together historical influences and imaginative contemporary design.
The gold-coloured metalwork is believed to be bronze, based on similar sterling silver and bronze designs described on the designer's official website.
