Impressive Mexican sterling silver ring featuring a large, brilliantly faceted purple sapphire in a dramatic sculptural setting! Sweeping petal-like forms curve around the stone while leaving it visible from nearly every angle, allowing the rich colour and faceting to be appreciated from the front, sides and back.
The sapphire was identified using a Presidium gem tester and blacklight response. Its vivid, even colour suggests it is likely lab-created or synthetic rather than natural, although no laboratory report is included.
The substantial open setting gives the stone an almost suspended appearance and creates a bold, architectural profile. Marked Mexico 925.
