Vintage Sherman Siam Red Japanned Rhinestone Brooch

A spectacular and vibrant vintage Sherman brooch featuring dark and medium Siam red Swarovski rhinestones, accented with brilliant aurora borealis crystals flashing blue and gold! Its unusual asymmetrical design features a magnificent oversized round centre stone surrounded by layered marquise and round crystals, with a dramatic spray of pointed rhinestones extending from one side.

The intricate, dimensional construction places the prong-set stones at varying heights, creating remarkable sparkle and movement. The dark japanned metal setting beautifully emphasizes the rich ruby-red crystals, while the contrasting cuts and colours make this an especially distinctive Sherman design.

Dating to the 1960s, this Canadian-made brooch features Sherman's rectangular signature cartouche. Excellent condition throughout, with beautiful crystal brilliance and a wonderfully preserved japanned finish.
